Our Mission: To give the highest quality health care and to serve our patients in a professional manner.

 Financial Arrangements.

The Surgery Center of Beaufort is committed to providing you with the best possible care. If you have medical insurance, we are anxious to help you receive your maximum allowable benefits. In order to achieve these goals, we need your assistance and your understanding of our payment policy.

As part of The Surgery Center of Beaufort Patient Rights and Responsibilities, we feel that you have a right to know how we file for reimbursement and what your estimated financial responsibility is to us prior to your surgery.

We participate with many third party payors including Medicare, Medicaid, Tricare, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Beechstreet, Cigna, PCN, PHCS, Southcare, Southeast Health Partners, United Health Care and Maksin Group. If you do not see your insurance plan on our list, please contact our business office directly at 843-322-5850. Your plan may be covered under one of these payors.

Charges at The Surgery Center of Beaufort include all supplies, medications, time, and nursing care needed for your procedure. Charges not included are your lab work, pathology, surgeon and anesthesia fees. You will be responsible for any charges not covered under the Surgery Center charges.

We will verify your insurance coverage and notify you of any estimated co-payments, co-insurance, and/or deductible amounts. You will be asked to provide this payment the day of your surgery.

Patients having procedures covered by Workers Compensation must provide the date of the accident, established Claim number, Authorization number for approval of procedure, name and phone number of the authorizing person.

If you are not covered by an insurance carrier, we ask that you speak with our Insurance Verification Coordinator prior to treatment to discuss your financial situation. Discounts are available for paying on the date of service.

We will file with your insurance carrier for the services provided by the center. Since your insurance contract is an agreement between you and the insurance company, any unpaid balance remains the responsibility of the patient or person who signs for financial responsibility of the account. We appreciate your assistance in ensuring prompt payment from your insurance company.

We request that you make financial arrangements if needed prior to your surgery date.

You may pay by cash, check or credit card. Credit cards accepted are Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.

Please remember that when you receive our statements, you have already received quality healthcare and your insurance has been initiated by us. We ask that you pay promptly upon receiving your statement. If you are not able to pay your account in full, please contact our Accounts Receivable Specialist at 843-322-5800 x 102 to avoid the collection process.

The Surgery Center of Beaufort is committed to providing the highest quality care to patients who require a procedure or surgery. The Center will take all the necessary steps to insure appropriate reimbursement for all procedures performed at our facility. If at any time you have specific questions regarding our reimbursement policy, do not hesitate to contact one of our patient account representatives.
